The Pet Food Institute, which represents the makers of the majority of the dog and cat food produced in the United States, has developed a report to help consumers make informed decisions about pet food, with details on proper nutrition, reading labels, government regulations, feeding guidelines, ingredients and more. The Straight Poop guide to DOGS in the NEWS

This is a wonderful feature story by Carey Goldberg of the New York Times and syndicated in the San Jose Mercury News, about a chapel in a Vermont church that honors dogs. The lead grabbed me because it reminds us of one of my favorite old jokes, about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac who lies in bed at night wondering if there is a Dog. Written with warmth and a human touch, it is well worth a read. "Dog chapel honors different sort of good shepherd".
