A word from Frank: We're going on our summer schedule next week. The Straight Poop will be in your mailbox every second week through July and August. Nonna and I will be wandering around the English countryside for a good part of that time. We'll miss friends and family, of course, but none of them as much as we'll miss Katie!

Another word: Someone wrote me a few weeks ago to warn me about a garden product called Cocoa Mulch. They said that it attracts dogs because it smells like chocolate, that dogs like to eat it and that it contains the same ingredient that makes chocolate poisonous to dogs. I cannot independently verify all of that, but it is frightening enough that I thought I would pass the warning along to you so you could do your own checking and make your own judgement about the product. I wrote to the manufacturer of Cocoa Mulch but received no response.
