Something for Dad

I remember that when my dad was still here, every year I had a terrible time finding a good gift for him. (It was made worse by the fact that his birthday was June 13...double trouble). And my kids never know what to get for me. I have enough shirts in my closet to last two lifetimes. I know we mentioned this recently, but it's SO important. This is the beginning of heartworm season in some areas. I took Katie to the vet today to have her annual heartworm test (negative, thankfully) and to get her supply of preventative medicine...six tasty (she thinks) treats , to be given once a month from June to November. In the waiting room, I saw a poster on the wall showing the inside of a heart infested with heartworms...I swear, it looked like a bowl of spaghetti. If you live in an area where heartworm is a problem, PLEASE don't take a chance. It's such a devastating disease, but so easily prevented.
