Kuranda Dog Beds.

What our customers say:
"I just thought I would write and thank you for making your wonderful Kuranda bed! It was so easy to put together, it took me no time at all, and before I had even tied the lambs wool bed pad in place, Harrison had climbed on and made himself comfortable! He is sleeping as I write this. I heard about the 'Kuranda Experience' from the 'The Straight Poop', and I've been looking forward to being able to give Harrison a warm, comfortable and supportive bed. He is extremely happy with the real thing! Thank you again, Kuranda. Bye for now, Emma Evans"

A Word From Frank:

Frank Fleischer
Often when I'm chatting with parents about their cute little baby, I jokingly say, "Little kids are great... too bad they grow up into teenagers!" It's just a bad joke, though, because despite their nuisance value, teenagers are great! Case in point... Abby, a thirteen year old, has decided, as a community service related to her Bat Mitzah, to bake and sell high quality, customized (with your puppy's name engraved on them) dog cookies to raise $500 for Adopt-a-Dog, a first-rate Connecticut rescue organization. Maybe you'd like to get some great treats for your little one and help a terrific young lady help a worthwhile organization at the same time. You can read more at Abby's web site.

Nonna and I have just returned from a wonderful working holiday in beautiful Southern California. Our big challenge now is figuring out how to bring that holiday sense of well-being back into our regular lives. Wish us luck!

See you next time. Wishing you a warm puppy 'til then.
Frank

The Puppy Corner: Introducing Your Puppy to Collar, Leash and Stairs

http://www.perfectpaws.com/cls.html

Imagine someone tying a rope around your neck, attaching another long rope to the first one, and then trying to pull on the ropes to get you to climb up on your dining room table! That's something like what it can be like putting a collar and leash on a puppy and trying to get her to climb up a stair.

OK, let's get a more informed slant on the subject before we try it, from the Perfect Paws web site.

Featured Rescue Site: SC P.A.W.

http://www.scpaw.org

SC P.A.W. - University of Southern California People for Animal Welfare - is a group of USC students, staff and faculty who came together to try to help the many abandoned and neglected animals on and around the campus. They don't have a shelter, but instead, put their animals in temporary foster homes or kennels until they can find the a loving, permanent home. Learn more about this find organization, its work and its needs.

Editor's Note: I'm an alum of USC's crosstown and, at least athletically, bitter rival, UCLA. But when it comes to helping out dogs in need, who cares?
