A Word From Frank:

Frank Fleischer
It seems the older I get the uglier politics gets. It's really a shame, because our open, democratic system is what made us great. I have my favorite presidential candidate, but I acknowledge that his principal opponent is a capable and patriotic American who just happens to have a different outlook and different priorities. But that certainly doesn't make him the horrible, inadequate human being so many of the opposite party try to make him out to be.

Why are the confrontational-style TV news shows like CNN's Crossfire so popular? It seems to me they generate a lot more heat than light, and most people hear only what they want to hear, anyway. Why are all the politicians and pundits so sure that their way is the "only" way. Why can't they give it to us straight, the good and the bad, and leave out the "spin"? Why not explain it to us, the common folk, and let us decide which is best?

I have an idea. Let's figure out a way to let our dogs decide who will be the next round of political leaders. Sometimes I think they're much better judges of honesty, intelligence, trustworthiness and character than we are.

See you next time. Wishing you a warm puppy 'til then.
Frank

Featured Website: Dogs, The Fantastic Food Finders

http://whyfiles.org/shorties/119dogs_eat/

I'd be surprised if it came to you as a surpise that dogs are good at finding food! This fascinating article first gives this startling :~) conclusion, but follows it with a Homer Simpson "Doh!". The interesting part is the author's exploration of how they got that way. Great reading.

spotless paw
As Seen on the Today Show!

Before those messy paws track mud and dirt into your home and car or soil your clothing, use Spotless Paw™ to thoroughly clean and dry them.

It's machine washable and dryable. So after you've used it countless times, it cleans up as easily as you clean your dog's paws.

"I hired a dog trainer to come to my house to help me train my 8 month old Lab puppy. As a gift, he gave me your glove. It is the greatest thing I have ever used. This is why I purchased 3 more for family and friends."

What our customers say: "I just thought I would write and thank you for making your wonderful Kuranda bed! It was so easy to put together, it took me no time at all, and before I had even tied the lambs wool bed pad in place, Harrison had climbed on and made himself comfortable! He is sleeping as I write this. I heard about the 'Kuranda Experience' from the 'The Straight Poop', and I've been looking forward to being able to give Harrison a warm, comfortable and supportive bed. He is extremely happy with the real thing! Thank you again, Kuranda. Bye for now, Emma Evans"

Dogs in the News: California Pet Lovers Irate

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-animals25jun25.story

Apparently, "The Terminator" wants the State of California to be a terminator. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to repeal California's comprehensive law forcing animal shelters to hold stray cats and dogs up to six days before killing them, a budget-cutting move that has enraged pet adoption groups.
