Kuranda Dog Beds.

What our customers say:
"I just thought I would write and thank you for making your wonderful Kuranda bed! It was so easy to put together, it took me no time at all, and before I had even tied the lambs wool bed pad in place, Harrison had climbed on and made himself comfortable! He is sleeping as I write this. I heard about the 'Kuranda Experience' from the 'The Straight Poop', and I've been looking forward to being able to give Harrison a warm, comfortable and supportive bed. He is extremely happy with the real thing! Thank you again, Kuranda. Bye for now, Emma Evans"

A Word From Frank:

Frank Fleischer
The most important things in my life, not necessarily in order, are my family, my health, my work, my dog, my friends and yoga. Yes, yoga. It keeps me in touch with my body and mind, slows down the aging process, and is just plain good for you. I heartily recommend it to everyone.

You may have noticed that I didn't include the cat in my list. I guess he's OK, but I'm afraid I'm just not a cat person. Or maybe it's this cat. I dunno, but we just don't see eye to eye. Nevertheless, I feed him twice a day, let him in when he wants in, let him out when he wants out, make sure his water dish is full, worry about him when there are coyotes around, and enjoy the absence of mice in the basement. So it goes.

In case you hadn't noticed, Spring has really sprung, at least it has in my neck of the woods. Let's all enjoy it while we can, hoping that the heat of summer will hold off at least for a while. I'm going to finish writing this column just as soon as I can and get OUTDOORS! Hope you can too.

Enjoy!

See you next time. Wishing you a warm puppy 'til then.
Frank

The Puppy Corner: Introducing a New Puppy to Other Pets

http://petplace.netscape.com/articles/artShow.asp?artID=243

You musn't take it for granted that you can just bring home that new pup, put him down next to your older dog and expect them to fall in love immediately. If you do, it's a recipe for disaster. Here are some great hints on how to do it the right way, from The PetPlace.com

Dog Health & Nutrition: Dog Food Labels: What do they mean?

http://animal.discovery.com/guides/healthcenter/dogs/nutrition/labels.html

It's OK with me if you choose to stuff your face with potato chips and the like without reading the label to see what kind of bad stuff your taking in, but since you're making similar choices for little Maxie, you owe it to him to understand what's on the label and make some good choices, at least so he'll be around to lick your face after you have your heart attack. AnimalPet.com from the Discovery Channel gives us a great tool to learn how.

Dog Activities and Training: Crate Training Your Dog

http://www.ddfl.org/behavior/cratetraining.htm

Many folks turn away from the idea of using a crate for their dog, but take it from me, it's the best investment you can make for your new pup's happiness and well-being, not to mention your peace of mind. The pup has her own, safe, comfortable "den", and your housetraining and control issues are extremely well taken care of. Dogs in the News: Dogs outnumber kids by 10 to 1 in Japan

http://news.newkerala.com/world-news/index.php?action=fullnews&showcomments=1&id=22326

It took me years to realize that the problem with cute little kids is that they grow up to be rebellious teenagers! It seems that folks in Japan are taking that idea seriously, if what this story reports is really true. From newkerala.com in India.
