Last week all the snow had melted and we jumped to our annual March conclusion that winter was over. Not! We got 5 inches of snow last night. Ugh! But Katie loved it. On the other hand, Tiger (the cat) wasn't amused. I wasn't either, having to resort to the shovel one more time.

There's a malicious worm being spread on the internet; it masquerades as a message from your internet service provider (for example, AOL, Comcast or Verizon) and others. It even pretends to be from favorite publications like The Straight Poop. The email message contains a password-protected Zip file, with instructions on how to open it.

DO NOT OPEN THE FILE! It's NOT from whom it says it's from! The "From" addresses in these message are FAKED, but very convincingly. The worm is very clever.

But the attachment is a trojan, designed to INFECT your system. The worm writers place the file in the password-protected file to try to hide it from anti-virus tools.

Don't be fooled. Just DELETE the message and the attached file.
