Kuranda Dog Beds.

What our customers say:
"I just thought I would write and thank you for making your wonderful Kuranda bed. It was so easy to put together, it took me no time at all, and before I had even tied the lambs wool bed pad in place, Harrison had climbed on and made himself comfortable! He is sleeping as I write this. I heard about the 'Kuranda Experience' from the 'The Straight Poop', and I've been looking forward to being able to give Harrison a warm, comfortable and supportive bed. He is extremely happy with the real thing! Thank you again Kuranda. Bye for now, Emma Evans

A Word From Frank:

Since moving to Canada a few years ago, I've become what many refer to as a "snowbird", a Canadian resident who flies south during the winter months to avoid the severe cold weather. Right now, Nonna and I are thoroughly enjoying the sunshine and warmth of Southern California for a couple of weeks. What passes here for a "cool" day (high of 61) would be considered a heat wave at home.
Frank Fleischer
Because the winter climate is so friendly, people and their dogs are outside much more than they are at home. While strolling down Santa Monica's Main Street (the site of great shops, restaurants and a wonderful farmers' market) last Sunday, we passed a local rescue group's gathering on a parking lot, where dogs and cats available for adoption are right out there where lots of people can see them, talk to them, touch them and perhaps do a little bonding. Wonderful activity. Great idea for other rescue groups around the country, for when weather permits.

See you next time. Wishing you a warm puppy 'til then.
Frank

Featured Website: Interacting Safely with Dogs

http://www.spca.bc.ca/animalsense/FallWinter2003/SafeDogs_FallWinter2003.htm

Many a time I've been out for a walk, with or without Katie, been approached by a strange dog and not known what to do. Comes the British Columbia SPCA Animal Sense dogBehavior article with some good tips and great advice on how to deal with such situations. Take a look... it might save you some real trouble some time in the future.
Dog Health & Nutrition: First Aid for Your Dog

http://www.ccc.govt.nz/animals/DogFirstAid.asp

From way down under in New Zealand, the Christchurch City Council gives us this excellent guide to First Aid for Your Dog. We featured it a while ago, but many new subscribers have joined us since then, so here it is again. I've got it printed out and taped to the wall in our laundry room. You may want to do the same. When you need it, there probably won't be time to turn on the computer and find it.
Dog Activities and Training: Frisbee Dog, Disc Dogs FAQ

http://www.discdog.com/FAQ.htm

There's a lot of snow on the ground and it's well below freezing cold where I live, but my mind is racing ahead a few short months until we can be outdoors playing hard with our best friends. Plenty of time now to curl up next to the fire and read everything there is to know about Frisbee fun with dogs.
