Featured Rescue Site: 8. Little Poops: Subscription Info: | A Word From Frank: ![]() We spent last week at Big Sur and Point Lobos, both just south of the Monterey Peninsula in California. Point Lobos is without question one of the most beautiful places in the world, a symphony of land and ocean coming together. If you haven't seen it and spent any time there, put it on your list. You won't be disappointed. We continue to miss Katie, but we know she's in good hands at home. Yuki (a young male Shiba Inu) who is sort of her little brother, came to visit for the last couple of weeks and we understand they had a good time together. We hope she doesn't miss us as much as we miss her. The best part of this holiday has been that we don't watch TV very much, hardly ever hear or read the news, and are spending lots of time walking on the beach. It makes it a little tough to think of things to share with you here, but it sure is restful for the soul. Plenty of time later for keeping up to date with things. See you next time. Wishing you a warm puppy 'til then. Frank | |||||

Dog Activities and Training: How to Keep Your Dogs from Feuding http://www.petplace.com/Articles/artShow.asp?artID=2303 I used to have a big, aggressive male Siberian Husky and a dainty, shy little female Sheltie. They got along famously. Why? Because there wasn't an ounce of competition between them. Whatever he wanted to do, she was content to follow. But all is not always so easy when you have two dogs in the house. Here's a rundown on how to keep things under control when they start trying to dominate each other. |

Rejected, incarcerated, abandoned by family, hopelessly lonely--the life of a shelter dog is bleak indeed. As is the life of a prison inmate. Put the two together, though, and magic can happen. Read on about this win/win program, from fredericksburg.com, in Virginia. |
